Q: Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. We support full number porting in South Africa. You keep your existing business number — we handle the transfer process for you.

Q: How long does setup take?

Most businesses are up and running within 1 working day. Our team handles the configuration so you don't need to worry about technical setup.

Q: Do I need to buy special hardware?

No hardware is required. Othos works with our mobile and desktop apps, as well as compatible IP desk phones — all integrated into the same system. You can use whatever suits your team.

Q: What happens to my calls during load shedding or no internet?

Nothing — your phone system stays online. Othos is hosted on AWS cloud infrastructure, so power outages at your office don't affect your calls. Your team can continue working from the mobile app during load shedding.

Othos runs on a fully managed AWS cluster — one of the most advanced cloud implementations in South Africa. We use dedicated AWS services for compute, databases, and storage, giving you enterprise-grade reliability, redundancy, and security.
